Lag B’Omer (Hebrew: ל״ג בעומר), is a Jewish holiday celebrated on the thirty-third day of the Counting of the Omer between Passover and Shavuot. This day marks the hillula (anniversary of death) of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai; the author of the Zohar, the chief work of Kabbalah. For almost five weeks we’ve been in a period of mourning and reflection. Now it’s time to unlock the mystical secrets of the day and have some fun.
