Project Timeline

Demolition completed

January 2026

In January 2026, the redevelopment property was officially demolished, marking a major milestone in the HOME COMING journey.

With the site now cleared, the vision for a permanent future home for the Kollel community begins to move from planning into reality. This new space is being created to support expanded learning, meaningful gathering, and a growing network of connection — a place designed to meet the needs of our community today and for generations to come.

HOME COMING reflects a long-term commitment to building more than walls. It is about creating a home base for Jewish life in Vancouver — one that allows our programs, relationships, and shared experiences to continue to grow and deepen.

We look forward to sharing more as the next stages take shape.

Rezoning approved

August 2024

We have exciting news to share with The Kollel family!

Our new building project has made significant progress: the rezoning application has been approved by Vancouver City Council. Our future home at 2096 West Broadway and 2560 Arbutus Street is now one step closer to reality.

Property sold for redevelopment

May 2023

With gratitude to Hashem, the Kollel is pleased to share good news.

PCI Developments recently purchased the Kollel property on Arbutus between 10th & Broadway, and a portion of the development will be a new home for the Kollel, subject to City approval.

This new hub for Jewish life will be conveniently located across from the Broadway & Arbutus subway station in Kitsilano.

With the redevelopment, the Kollel will have the opportunity to better serve the Jewish community by supporting all stages and areas of a Torah-centric lifestyle.

The Kollel looks forward to partnering with stakeholders during our limited, but critical, building campaign to share this expanded vision.

This expansion of services and offerings is a vital part of our community’s growth, and we are excited to share more details about our “Home Coming” over the next few months.
